Heat Transfer Labels for Clothing

Heat transfer labels are tagless labels that your logo or design is applied to clothing by using a heat press or home iron without sewing and itching. These labels are also known as heat press transfers, thermal transfers, and iron-on transfers. Completely different from woven and printed labels, they cannot be cut off or discarded, so your brand logo will remain on the garment permanently. Sewing labels requires some skill, but heat transfer labels are easy and fast, providing essential garment information while keeping the entire garment clean.

The basic process of heat transfer is to print the pre-produced graphic information on a kind of film, and then transfer the graphic information to the substrate using pressure or heating of the equipment. After stabilization, the ink is adhered to the garment surface tightly, resulting in a “tagless” branding or label. The printing method includes silk screen, digital, etc. Pinlilabel, which has been producing clothing labels and tags for more than 10 years already, already has a mature heat transfer printing technique.

Why do you recommend heat transfer labels?

Quick and easy attachment

No sewing skills and teams are required, all you need is an industrial ironing machine or a heat press to complete the labeling process quickly.

Extent the garment’s life

In contrast to woven and printed labels, which are attached directly to the garment, the heat transfer process ensures that your design is embedded in a sub-layer on the printed surface in a way that will last the life of the garment.

No skin irritation

Heat transfer labels label products while giving maximum comfort to the wearer. So if you don’t want to waste time deciding on a label material, heat transfer labels will be a choice that you can not go wrong with.

Lower price

Compared to sewn labels, heat transfer labels are easier to apply and can be produced in large quantities in a short period of time.

Aside from the benefits mentioned above, heat transfer labels provide excellent image quality, vivid colors, and sharper design details.

Heat Transfer Neck Labels

Among all clothing labels, heat transfer clothing labels are the most suitable for direct contact with the skin such as underwear swimwear, leggings, or trousers. This may be due to the following two reasons.

Firstly, they are very durable and long-lasting. The heat press labels are applied using heat and pressure, which ensures that they bond well to the fabric and won’t come off easily. This is especially important for sportswear neck labels, which can be subject to a lot of wear and tear if used regularly for high-performance workout

Secondly, heat transfer labels are more comfortable to wear than traditional sewn-in labels. They are thinner and lighter and don’t have any scratchy edges that can irritate the skin. This is particularly important for neck labels, which are in direct contact with the skin.

How to attach heat transfer labels?

  1. Set the temperature of the ironing machine
  2. Place the garment flat on the ironing board
  3. Place the label pattern face-up on the location you want to attach
  4. Press the handle down firmly for about ten seconds
  5. Lift the handle and untie the film
