How does cord lock work?
In general, the cord lock consists of three parts: a spring, a plunger, and a barrel. A hole on the side of the cord lock contains a spring, and there is also a hole at the top of the plunger. When you press the plunger, the plunger’s hole and the barrel’s hole align; at this point, you can adjust the length of the rope at will; when you release the plunger, the rope will stay in the position you want due to the action of the spring.
Why use a cord lock?
The traditional method of securing the rope – tying knots – has two drawbacks. The first is that the knot is not strong enough to prevent the items from spilling, and the second is that even if the knot is tied firmly but cannot be easily adjusted, you must untie the previous knot to adjust.
The lock’s main advantage is that you can adjust and fix the cord without tying knots, making your rope easy to adjust.
